Top Music of 2007
First Resolution for 2008: Listen to more new music. This comes as a result of my fairly limited "Best of" list for 2007. I think what happened is that the albums I liked in 2008 I REALLY liked and could not stop listening to. My absolute favorite of this year was Arcade Fire's Neon Bible, if you don't have this cd stop reading right now and go buy it, seriously. Other than that, I loved Feist and Beirut along with some local favorites, We Are Jeneric and Kevin Hume.
The albums are in order from 1-10, the 20 tracks are in no particular order. Most of the time I couldn't pick just one track from each album, I'm not much of a purist so this didn't bother me all that much. If you're in mix tape club, be looking forward to some montage of these tracks tomorrow. Special Note-I don't usually go in for adding old songs to the list just because they have been re-released this year in some new form, but I loved The Darjeeling Limited Sountrack so much that I made an exception.
